PES 2013 Master League: A look at the game mode

Nearly all hardcore Pro Evolution Soccer fans love Master League for its unique take on team management, whether it be a real team like FC Barcelona, an unlicensed team or a fake team like PES United.

In PES 2012, Master League was relatively straightforward and seemed similar to FIFA 12′s Manager Mode. However, there have been notable changes made to the game mode for PES 2013. A controversial addition to Master League in PES 2013 is that every player starts off with generic, black boots. You can earn branded boots for your players by winning games; and every time you apply them to your players, you increase their attributes. You can also earn different items like bananas for your players to consume or training balls. The video above takes you through the transfers and basic layout of Master League. In future videos in this series, we will be using the new features on Udinese’s Road to Glory.

PES 2013 Player ID: A look at Andres Iniesta

When Konami were deciding on which footballers should have Player ID in PES 2013, Andres Iniesta was surely one of the first on the list.

The 2012 European Player of the Year is the third highest-rated player in the game – and after using him in a few games, it is easy to see why.

Iniesta does not possess the power of Portugal’s Ronaldo or speed of Lionel Messi; but his ball control, passing and dribbling are exceptional. In the video above, I demonstrate the Spanish midfielders’ skills by making him perform one of the most difficult moves in PES 2013: the Bergkamp flick.

Unfortunately, Master League Online is speed orientated, so a playmaker like Iniesta does not seem like value for money. Nevertheless, he is definitely worth purchasing in Master League offline due to his skills and the possibility of seeing his ratings increasing.

PES 2013 Player ID: A look at Carles Puyol

In our third article on PES 2013 Player ID, we examine Spanish defender Carles Puyol.

The Barcelona captain is the second highest-rated centre back in world football and was one of the players highlighted in Konami’s Player ID trailers before the release of PES 2013.

In the video above, we look at examples of his great tackling and defensive abilities when controlling FC Barcelona in online quick matches.

With Puyol, the thing that PES 2013 captures best is his signature defensive move, where he jockeys the opponent and then puts in a perfectly-timed tackle, which he has done a countless number of times over the years.

In our next Player ID article, we will be highlighting Andres Iniesta.

PES 2013 Player ID: A look at Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored arguably the best goal of the year against England on November 14, 2012, through an amazing 35-yard bicycle kick.

I decided to put Ibrahimovic’s Player ID to the test in PES 2013 to see if he possesses the skills and flair that he has in real life. With an overall rating of 93, he is the best centre forward and the thirteenth best player in the video game.

In the video above, you will see that Ibrahimovic’s strength and first touch are unrivalled. In fact, in some cases, his skills even outshine PES 2013 cover star Cristiano Ronaldo.

PES 2013 Player ID: A look at Gianluigi Buffon

Possibly, the most anticipated new feature of PES 2013 was the addition of Player ID. Player ID was added to 50 players and captures their real life motions and behaviour.

Player ID in PES 2013 was added to some of the highest-rated players, such as: Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben. A few young players – including Alex Oxlade Chamberlain and Neymar – also profited from the addition of that feature in the game.

In the video above, we review Gianluigi Buffon’s player ID in PES 2013, whilst we look at more than 20 other players.

In real-life, Juventus captain and goalie Gigi Buffon is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football history.

In future PES 2013 articles over the coming weeks, we will be taking a more in depth look at each footballer’s Player ID.

PES 2013 Xbox 360 Kit Editing – Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Brazil

There has been constant problems surrounding the option files on PES 2013 for the Xbox 360 due to downloadable data packs so I decided to create my own jerseys instead of importing them from a saved file.

They are not 100% accurate but it is hard to see the minor differences while using the teams in a match.
Unlike FIFA, PES 2013 includes the option to edit kits with designs that are used on official Nike and Adidas jerseys. The first thing that you have to do is copy these designs from the videos and use the colours as shown.

The second thing that is required is to edit the markings on the kits (player name and number design).

Once this is done, the difficult part is creating the crest and writing the sponsors. This cannot be done perfectly so it may take a few attempts. On most of my PES 2013 videos, I show you how to make the crests.

For a kit like Arsenal’s, you must first make the Nike logo, then the Fly Emirates logo and import them as images onto the same chest logo design.

The PES 2013 videos below regarding Xbox 360 gamers show you how to make most crests.

I will be making more PES 2013 jerseys in the future, including those for Argentina and Liverpool. If you have any requests, please contact my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/PESskillerHD

PES 2013 released on Nintendo 3DS in Europe

On Thursday, PES 2013 made its final console release – this time – for Nintendo 3DS.

This version of the game gives users the choice between two different control sets: the traditional system and the Touch Control – unique to the Nintendo console.

With this feature, gamers can play with the touch screen and stylus of the 3DS to control their players, pass and score goals to lead their team to victory, all in 3D.

PES 2013 on Nintendo 3DS features the same game modes as on other consoles on which it is available. As a result, it also comes with the officially-licensed UEFA Champions League and Santander Copa Libertadores competitions.

Above is a video of Shinji Kagawa demonstrating a PES 2013 match on Nintendo 3DS.

myPES 2013 app released on Xbox 360 and PS3

Konami have released the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the PES 2013 Facebook app, myPES, on Tuesday 13th November.

The PC version of the application myPES 2013 was released last month; but as it is often seen with additional PES 2013 content, there were technical difficulties for console versions.

This application allows you to share statistics with your friends from all of the matches you play online.

It also gives you a bonus of 300,000 Euros after every game in the Master League Online, which is very useful for signing star players for your team.

In the video above, we show you a walkthrough showing how to activate myPES 2013 on PS3.

PES 2013 Bicycle Kick tutorial

Two of the best goals of the season were scored recently and they were both spectacular bicycle kicks.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s acrobatic overhead kick from 35 yards was equalled days later by a bicycle kick from AC Milan defender Philippe Mexès.

In the video below, you will learn the best method to do a bicycle kick. First, you must position the receiving player around the edge of the box where he is unmarked and then deliver a lofted pass.

It will require a skilful player to perform this type of shot and more acrobatic players will do it more frequently.

PES 2013 Tutorial: Neymar Dribbling Skills – Ginga and Ball Roll Flick

This tutorial teaches you how to perform and combine Neymar’s Ginga move with the Hocus Pocus/Ball Roll Flick in PES 2013.

On April 15, 2012, in Santos’ 5-0 win over Catanduvense in the Campeonato Paulista, Neymar performed an astonishing dribbling move, which resulted in the defender fouling him and receiving a red card.

It was one of the hottest football tricks of the year, so I decided to re-create it in PES 2013 and include a tutorial.
I did a Neymar footwork tutorial in PES 2012, but I needed to make an updated version for PES 2013, because of the introduction of Neymar’s signature “Ginga” move.
Watch the tutorial below:

Once you learn the “Ginga” skill, you must then combine it with the Neymar Hocus Pocus/Ball Roll Flick, which can be easily done in the link feints menu.

PES 2013 Tutorial Video: Lionel Messi Signature Skill

This article shows you how to perform Lionel Messi’s trademark skill using a combination of tricks in PES 2013.

A move known as as La Croqueta, commonly used by FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta, has been added to PES 2013 and can be performed with relative ease by the best players in the game.

To perform Messi’s skill which he has used against teams like Manchester United and Real Madrid, you must first learn to execute the “Upper Body Feint”.

Once you have done this, perform La Croqueta skill and your opponent will be left for dead.

The video above includes Xbox 360 controls. These controls can easily be applied to a PS3 controller. If you have any difficulties regarding PES 2013 skill moves, then please visit my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/PESskillerHD and let me know

PES 2013: How to create players with Face Builder

PES 2013 prides itself on giving you the opportunity to create current and classic players accurately in Edit mode.

If you want to create Pele or a player who is not represented in the game like David Beckham, you can either create them yourself or get the best “formulas” from PES 2013 forums.

I have created Ronaldinho in PES 2012 using my own formula and edited many players using the Face Builder – including Xherdan Shaqiri – seen in the video below.

I am currently creating a team of legendary players, which will include top footballers such as Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff and Zinedine Zidane.

If anyone has requests for players  they would like me to make, please contact me http://www.youtube.com/user/PESskillerHD

PES 2013 Player Ratings: Cristiano Ronaldo and the Top 250 Players

PES is usually controversial when it comes to player ratings and this year was no different.
Here is a video that shows the top 250 players in PES 2013, with the top three players as expected: Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the game’s Online Mode, the order of the best players changes. Cristiano Ronaldo moves to the top, with an astronomical rating of 99.
Some people may think this is too much, as it leaves almost no room for an increase in ratings if he improves before PES 2014.
Rated at 99: Cristiano Ronaldo’s skills in PES 2013 are unbelievable.
Surprisingly, the eleventh highest-rated player in PES 2013 is Pablo Armero. He has a rating of 93, which also seems too much, considering he is not a household name and has yet to shine on football’s biggest stages like the UEFA Champions League or FIFA World Cup.
Two of the deadliest strikers in the world – Fernando Torres and Radamel Falcao – may feel somewhat disappointed to be excluded from the list of top 250 players in PES 2013. Both have ratings rising below 80 (78 and 79).
What are your thoughts on the ratings of PES 2013? Leave a comment below!

PES 2013 vs FIFA 13: Player Faces Head to Head

PES 2013 and FIFA 13 have a lot to fight for, and in terms of graphics, the look of players’ faces generates a great debate.

Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA compete every season to be the best football game of the year.
The main aspects that people tend to look at are directed towards the gameplay; namely, how realistic a match feels and the game modes available to play.

An aspect that seems less important – but which still attracts a lot of attention – is the detail that is put into the players’ faces and how real they look.
FIFA may have sold more copies than PES in recent years. But when it comes to graphics, many gamers agree that PES has been winning hands down, and it is still the case with the new release PES 2013.
The main difference is that PES has excellent player models for all elite players, whereas FIFA still hasn’t given “real” faces to players such as Fabio Coentrão and Eden Hazard.
Above is a video comparing the faces of Real Madrid players in FIFA 13 and PES 2013.

PES 2013 New Goal Celebrations

In recent years celebrations seemed to be an area overlooked by Konami.

In PES 2013, in addition to the inclusion of Player ID in the video game, there has been an addition of 10 new celebrations.

Neymar performing the "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" Celebration in PES 2013
These goal celebrations are used by some of the world’s best players in real life, and the list includes Nani’s flips and Mario Balotelli’s “Why always me?” celebration.
The main difference between PES 2013 and its rival  FIFA 13 lies in the ability to manually control  celebrations in FIFA. In PES though, the celebrations are automatically assigned to the players.
But how annoying would it be to have to watch someone like Pique do the “Ai Se Eu Te Pego” celebration when your opponent scores against you online?
Below is a video showing all of the new celebrations in PES 2013, performed by the players who do them in real life.
